I made a payment of rs 80k through my axis debit card in 3 simultaneous payments, same day (9th December). The amount got deducted and I was left with 10k in my account. After 4 days(13th December), surprisingly, in the night, I got 3 messages of reversed transactions and those 3 amounts (totalling 80k) got credited back to my account. The next morning I transferred that amount (80k) to people whom I needed to pay, and left 10000 rupees in my account.
After 3 days(16th December), I processed a transaction, but in the evening, I came to know that the transaction did not go through due to issues from bank end. In the night, I checked my account balance and it showed a negative balance of 70k rupees.
I didn’t get any message or alert and it deducted my 10k money, handing me a negative balance of huge amount. My account is an asap account and is more than 2 years old.
Now,I am in a fix and would like to close my account as I can’t bear this huge brunt.
Please advise asap.

My salary account is now with another bank, so I won’t maintain the minimum balance in the savings account. To submit the axis bank closure form, I visited two branches.
However, my application has not been received due to the Lockdown effect.
Please let me know where I can submit my closure form at any axis Bank branch or only in my home branch.

I believe any branch will accept the closure form from you.
You can tell them that you will file a complaint with the banking ombudsman if they deny accepting your application in the name of covid.
